Mascot Houseboats, a part of Mascot Travels, have a rich history, which started from building state of the art and ornately carved houseboats since 1880’s. These houseboats are the result of unique piece of artistry and sophistication, which began in the early 19th century. All these houseboats were tastefully handcrafted showing the amazing artisanship of those times when there was no technology. Tuman family was among frontrunners of tourism and hospitality in Kashmir, started tourism business which has evolved to perfection after the legacy which has passed on to fifth generation.

The boats exuberated perfect mélange of old age architecture and spell-bound luxury. The sophistication in the décor created out of the subtle amazon wooden carving, further enhances the sheen.
